Threaded bushings for 1.2kV voltage are assembled including corresponding porcelain NBR spacers, copper threaded rod, blue steel screw nuts, galvanized brass connectors and stainless steel lock washers and nuts.

Low voltage transformers usually have independent leads with solid porcelain bushings. These sleeves are made of high quality porcelain cylinders through which the wires pass. The outer surface of the sleeve may be smooth or may be corrugated or skirted to increase the surface leakage path to the metal housing. When the conductor is connected to the transformer through the lead covered cable, the lead is usually passed through the cable terminator. These terminators are similar to ordinary terminal blocks and are installed in the transformer enclosure together with bushings.
