Transformer maintenance-free dehydration respirator

Product Details

The Premium Series maintenance-free dehydration respirator has a built-in heating element for sensor-controlled dehydration. This minimizes costs by eliminating regular visual inspections. Dehydration respirators are available with an optional alpha or beta control system.

The dehydration respirator is used to dry the inlet air of the transformer.

If the operating temperature of the transformer drops, air is drawn in through the tank to remove dirt particles, which are then dried by the silica gel inside the assembly.

The oil-water separator prevents the silica gel from long-term contact with the moist surrounding air and filters the incoming air. If the temperature rises, air will be discharged from the conservator and flow through the L-type transformer dehydration breather in the reverse direction. The size of the dehydration breather required depends on the amount of oil and the frequency of air exchange.

The desiccant air respirator is mainly used for the oil tank and has the functions of moisture absorption and air filtration. First, the incoming air absorbs moisture as it passes through the desiccant. Dirt particles in the air are then trapped by the air filter element; this reduces pressure losses due to oil level fluctuations and temperature changes. By absorbing moisture and trapping dirt particles, it can reduce the reliability and handling capacity of the hydraulic system and prolong the service life of the oil and the machine.

With the absorption of moisture, the color of the desiccant particles will gradually change from blue to pink. When the particles turn pink, the desiccant should be replaced.

Simply open the lid to replace the dry granules. Dry the pellets in an oven at 150 ° C until they turn blue again.

Caution: Broken dry granules cannot be used again.
